Why, yes. Woody's Custom Bicycle Fenders, actually. I get these from Cody Davis in Bend, OR. He does brilliant work, at what I think are fair prices. I try to use as much "organic" material as I can on my bikes. Steel frame, leather saddle, canvas bags, cork or leather grips... you get the idea. It's all about Quality.

Oh, but that's the thing, isn't it? YOU made it! How special is that? My bikes come together with the best parts I can afford, and the best work I can do myself. Quality. You know it when you see it, touch it, ride it... The key is to recognize when what you want is beyond what you can make yourself. Then, if the bike is worthy, you choose the best craftsman you can find (or afford) and get them to help you realize your vision. For the bikes I love, Woody's Fenders always provide that finishing touch.

it caught my eye particularly because this summer I met a cpl & asked about similar wooden rack covers. theirs were thin like yours, but just painted back. he tucked the front corners under the rack tubing & used 2 screws in the middle. he was very proud of them. seemed so simple. not nearly as attractive, but functional. weird thing, they caught my eye because they didn't have any rack trunks on them! hehe I guess they were good enough considering they don't seem to use them!

This was a hand me down from my cousin and so this Raleigh Mountie was from around '57, given the extended chainguard that was popular then. My 5 or 6 year old self is over the moon, wot?
