Aloha from SF Bay Area California!

Hey potential friends, I'm a newb - and have been yoyo-ing between cycling and other hobbies for quite some time now. My name is Todd and my cycling history is sordid with FGFS and Gravel stuff. Age is catching up with me and I'm switching over to riding Road.

I actually looked at my SFFixed.com account and looks like I registered back in 2007.

My current ride is an Italian steed that unfortunately is too small for me. I got it specifically because it had a full and complete Campy group. Well, low and behold its the right height, but the TT is too short for me.

Anyways I ride recreationally around Emeryville and Berkeley and I currently work in San Mateo (hoping to find a job in Emeryville so my commute is short)

I hope to meet some of you soon!

Welcome to Bike Forums. Nice looking bike. I can't quite make out the name. What brand/model is it?

Hey Ron, the model is Barbieri, although the BB and lugs make me think its Moser built. Its an interesting one, I've asked guys across the pond for some history but I couldnt find anything

Welcome to BikeForums, Todd. I live across the bay from you and spent the last couple of decades of my working career commuting from S.F. to San Mateo, but I didn't have any bridges to cross.

I retired in 2003 before the 101 and 280 commutes got so ridiculous.

yea the 280 and 101 commutes have become absolutely unbearable. I recall pre-2008 that I was able to commute from Benicia to SF in just shy of 1 hour. Now my commute from Oakland to SF sometimes is nearing 1 hour!

Thank you for the welcome, and I'm glad there are a lot of Bay Area people here!
