Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Dura Ace crankset from probikekit?

Anybody have any success ordering from a European online retailer?

I am contemplating upgrading my crank.

Shimano Dura-Ace FC-9000 Bicycle Chainset 53-39T | ProBikeKit.com

Thanks

I just ordered 5800 group from Merlin. Ordered Monday and according to UPS I should have it tomorrow. Bought a crankset from them in the past and another order. Bought a group from Ribble. All good experiences. Check Merlin, they seem to have best prices right now

I'd check Merlin, Ribble, ProBikeKit, Wiggle, Chain Reaction, Evans, and Bike Discount.de, whoever gives you the best deal.

They're all reputable stores, and have been around for a long time. I've ordered from them all, and not disappointed with any.

Don't forget to check the destination country to ensure that the prices you see on the website don't include VAT.

I just ordered a complete Ultegra and 105 groups. Plus tires and spares.
Great to deal with and fast shipping.

As others have said, PBK, Merlin, Ribble, Wiggle and a few others are awesome and very reputable. I recently built out my entire bike, except the frame, from parts bought from Ribble and PBK. They are far less expensive than others and I have never had any problems.

FYI for that price, Nashbar has that crank for $348.99. I personally try to order from the US if I can. Why risk unpredictable wait times, gray market parts or the possibility of brokerage fees? I do order from Ribble occasionally if I can't get part elsewhere or price is so low compared to US that it is worth the above wait and risk.

Just beware that with PBK, you will likely be contacted to pay the duty once the package hits US soil before it is released for delivery to your house. This is on orders over $200, I believe.
