I was looking for a bullmoose bar for my beater.

Needless to say this isn't going on my beater.. or any other bike I have.

In general, the crazy increase in the prices of used/C&V bikes in my area is exceeded only by the increase in gasoline. It's wild out there.

Wow, that says a lot. Vintage mountain bike stuff comanding high prices. Cool indeed.

I think the early high quality mountain bike stuff is unique in that it was made so well. I think it is worth the money to collectors. Why not?

Same seller has a Dave Moulton Fuso, 30th anniversary 60 cm bike with full Superbe, going for less than $500 with only an hour and change to go. That's a deal, I think.

I saw those a few days ago while checking to see what my old Raleigh bullmoose bars might fetch. Didn't imagine they'd go for $358!?! Dang, I've got to polish these up.

Well, in fairness, these were fillet brazed, and Tom Ritchey to boot. Not your average bullmoose bars. But still, that price....

Just before this auction, I won another bullmoose bar that was more reasonably price at $56...And I was surprised at how high that went.
