I googled it to check and found a bunch of stuff I didn't know, or want to know.
Wild guess: something worth framing and hanging on the wall.

Exactly that. A framer is a picture worth framing.

We had to put our 4 year old cat down last summer, herniated diaphragm which was most likely a congenital problem. Our dog Izzy seemed depressed afterward. A few months later my daughter brought home a new cat, Blossom, and now the cat and dog are best buddies. Found out later that around 20% of orange cats are female.

Izzy and Blossom taking their afternoon nap.

IMHO, this one has "framer" quality in spades:

Of course, considering the subject, it was next to impossible to take a bad photo of her! Been gone a whole year now, and I still miss her...

What a lovely orange tabby! And you're right, the majority of orange tabbies are male, thereby making the females something special. Sorry for your loss last summer, but I bet you'll have a lot of wonderful years to look forward to with Blossom

Mango and Pumpkin are 10 years old! (...ish... we don't know their actual birth date since they were born to couple feral barn cats.)
They were socialized with other cats so they weren't skittish when we picked them up and, with one exception, they have been indoors all their lives. The exception is when we were remodeling our kitchen and Pumpkin escaped. He stayed outside for 10 days before I could trap him and bring him back inside. Aside for a slight case of fleas, he was none the worse for wear.
They have been our constant companions while the years have passed. Aside from weight issues (Mango is 22 pounds) they have been healthy throughout.

I have always wanted a big fluffy orange tabbie, I grew up a couple miles from where Garfield's creator lives and my mother went to school with him. We've had 14 cats through our house in the past decade and not a singe one was orange.

Thank you,
Reminds me of the cats I loved over many years.
I still talk to the cats in the hoods I ride in.

A few years back the neighbours cat adopted me

It used to follow me as I walked to the local shops, it would stop at the end of the road and wait for me to return.
They moved away eventually and I'm still interviewing replacements (cats not neighbours).

I'm fairly sure that would be it's name and address in case it went on a night out and got lost.
Or it could be some emergency catnip for hot dates.

The thing on the collar is a specially machined, custom component from Chris King. It is purple anodized but comes in a rainbow of colors. Being aluminum it is resistant from potential corrosion associated with drinking out of a bowl. Also, it is lightweight and easy to maintain.
Other than that, I haven't a clue.

In all seriousness, thanks to everyone who has participated in this thread. As a lifelong cat lover it really warms my heart. These animals are so worthy of our love and our care and it is cool that we can share them with our bike friends.

Brothers. Sadly the gray and white one, Alfie, has left us. He was well loved and greatly missed. Ozzie, the gray striped beauty is my buddy.

The 3rd brother who resides with my eldest daughter and my son-in-law. Boomer is still going strong and still mischievous.

They are not pets. They are mobile, self-cleaning, house accoutrements. No place is home without a feline in residence.
