1981 Specialized Sequoia built by Yoshi Konno (3Rensho)

Hey everyone, I'm refurbishing a special bike and I'd love some help. This is a 1981 Sequoia built by Yoshi Konno of 3Rensho. Specialized had Konno build a handful of the Allez and a smaller batch of the Sequoia in the 80s. Konno built size 58 and 60cm Sequoia's and you can see the 58 stamp on the underside of the BB here. There isn't a ton of information out there on these 3Rensho Specialized's so I'll be writing a piece on the history while I refurbish the bike. Does anyone know anyone who was early at Specialized who could shed some light on the engagement between 3Rensho and Specialized?

I'd like to refurbish this frame to its original glory with a full groupset of Suntour Superbe. Does anyone have a full groupset for sale? I'm based in Los Angeles if anyone is nearby. Thank you!

Now that's pretty cool, right there. 👍 Sorry, I have no useful info, but most likely, someone here does. 😶

Tim Neenan has posted on BF under the name Lighthousecycle. On other forums I have seen relevant posts by Brian Bayliss (edit: meant Bryant Bainbridge) and Jim Merz, but they joined a couple years after your 81 was being designed and built.
