Show me your C&V INSPIRED rides!
I'm not sure how kosher this is but I love the look of a good modern bike built like a vintage bike. Lugs, fillet brazed, I don't care! It gives me warm and fuzzy feelings to remember that all new bikes looked like this once!
I'll kick it off with my Norther. I get a lot of questions that start with something like "How old is that thing?" and I'm always happy to let folks know it's from 2018.

Are you kidding, it's all suspension! Perfectly good as long as you don't mind the rear-facing position!

Haha, yes! THESE are the ones I have and I love them. They're a little over a year old now and when I bought them I assumed they were clear coated BUT THEY ARE NOT so they're patinaing beautifully and match the character of this bike perfectly. Just for fun, here are some shots I took from a project a few weeks ago where I polished the channels on the outside for a cool contrast.

After I discovered steel frames didn't jack hammer me over my local crumbling streets the way my 99 Cannondale R800 did I then stumbled onto the Riv site and lusted heavily over the lugged frames, I had not yet discovered the wonderful world of C&V and couldn't pony up for a Riv so I got a 2009 Handsome Devil frame-set out of the Twin Cities. It got built up with lots of steer tube for higher bars, lots of silver components, bar end shifters and a Brooks B.17. Its still my workhorse and has evolved from Sugino triple, to a IRD compact double and for the last 6 years its been a 1x9. Show here as compact double incarnation:

I actually owned it quite a few years ago and sold it to him on the stipulation I would get it back after the racing season.
He ended up racing it for three seasons, so it's fairly beat.
No dents though.
I'm sure I have an extra 9 speed Chorus groupset here and a few wheelsets.
Maybe some RH Stampede Pass tires would be just the ticket.
Might be a neat project for next winter.

Some black lines would look great too I think.
Honjo makes some nice stuff. I often order their Dove stay rear fender mount separately because they are just nicer than anything else on the market right now.
Their titanium fenders look nice too, though a little narrow for my tastes. Most of the time I use stainless steel fenders in the form of some classic Weinmann or Gazelle fenders but I've recently built up a bike using Gilles Berthoud fenders for a commuter bike.

Oh man that is beautiful! My norther is powder coated but at some point in the future when it needs a redo I'll almost certainly have it done with a cream headtube- that look is hard to beat!
Awesome! When I was looking to get a modern lugged frame the Bob Jackson World Tour was way up at the top of the list for a long time but ultimately I decided I wanted something 650b since I had already built some nice wheels for my Soma (and a pile of tires to match...)
Nice! I actually have a brand new set of GB stainless fenders I had planned to put on my Soma GR but wound up stealing most of the hardware for another project. I'll have to get a replacement hardware kit and make it happen now!

The gent who noticed and liked my Capo Modell Campagnolo last weekend was riding a Woodrup, which was custom-made for him last year. He had a modern drivetrain, but the lugged frame, with its horizontal top tube and retro-looking decals, gave the appearance of a high-end classic.
