Late 80’s IBIS Avion
I just picked this up today, because it was a deal. Full XT, good tires, needs a clean up and realistically a paint job.
I’m assuming 87 as it has a U brake.
can anyone chime in and educate me on these bikes?
I’ve read the IBIS website. It’s a pretty sporty feeling MTB. Kinda feel like a 91 stumpjumper I had, though I like how this feels more.
what I don’t get is it has a water bottle type bolt in the bottom of the top tube and three bolts in the down tube, while there are only two in the seat.
I dig the front fork drop outs.
Serial number appears to be 8B0055 and then a symbol.
