Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I don't know where I got that from? Yeah, looks like they could reach 20,000rpm but are electonically limited. (according to wiki)

I used to really want one of those. Not that I'd hate one now, but not the intensity of before.

It's said to be 5 or even 6 Gs of force on launch. More than a fighter jet. Then comes the jolt from the parachute when the thing is going 330mph plus.

Stopped by the bike shop on the way home. Of course forgot it was memorial day, and it was closed. While leaving, I went behind the shop and saw one of the lad scientist. He let me pick up my bike.

R8000 crank set with the silver stages power meter.

The excitement was short lived. I did a short ride with Amelia and ran through the gears a couple of times. Initially it was rubbing all the time in the small front ring. The big ring seemed to be okay, so no worries.

Well, the third time I went from small ring to the big ring the chain was thrown. I looked down at the derailer and it was way outside. It just got worse from the there. Now it won’t trim, so small ring to big ring throws the chain of I try to trim back one, it drops to the small ring. I guess the cable pinch bolt wasn’t tightened?

I loved my (technically my dad owned it) TR6. Many adventures and misadventures were had in that car. Learned to drive stick in that car.

Sounds like limit screw shenanigans. Was the shop supposed to be adjusting your FD?

Yes, that is what I took it there for. It appeared close to perfect when I picked it up. It was on the big ring small cog. I hand cycled it no rub, and then I dropped to the small ring and cycled through the rear cogs, and it was rubbing on all of them. I was okay with this, I knew it wouldn’t be perfect with the 10 speed group set and 11 speed crankset.

Once I got home and started to ride it, it went down hill relatively fast. What can cause this?

Installed this nifty tailgate table today. Got it free from Ford. Was a bit nerve wracking drilling into the tailgate.

That set up should work fine together. Sounds like the shop didn't set up the FD correctly.

will watch that when, I am not about to pass out from fatigue.

In other news, my doctor prescribed me diuretic for the swelling in my left leg. After taking it for 4 days my leg looks normal!

Pain on my right leg is intermittent.

Good news about the swelling.
I suggest you look at some videos and adjust everything on the derailleurs starting from scratch. Start by making sure the chain length is correct. I had a shop I trusted put a new chain on for me and I had lots of problems after that including dropped chains. I went through the chain sizing procedure and he had left it 3 links too long. After I shortened it shifting was much better and it stopped dropping the chain.
