Need a bit of tech help with the forum
Sorry for posting this generally but I couldn’t find where to report a technical issue: in the 3 speed thread (one of my favourites) I can no longer get past page 1060…. I get a scripting error of some sort (see picture).
As I know this is not the correct place to post this could some kind soul (or mod) please put this where it belongs?

You are not alone.
There are at least four threads in the User Assistance Forum regarding this error.

That was an error with the forum a few days ago, but it has cleared up since. I can get to the end of that thread.
Try clearing Safari's page cache and try again.
EDIT: Apparently this is only fixed on the desktop version of the site; problem still exists on the mobile version.

Had the same problem viewing on my phone until I clicked view full site option in upper left corner.

Cleared cache- no effect
Went to “view full site”, can get to the end of the thread but the cost is a horrendous user experience!
Thanks all for the suggestions- will head over to the proper place for additional follow up.

Just to make sure I'd checked everything potentially useful, I verified that the Box o' Crap page displayed fine on my laptop but gave the dreaded "bburl" error message on my Android phone. I cleared the page caches on both (for at least the bikeforums.net domain). Refreshing on my phone continued to fail until I switched to "desktop site." Then it displayed correctly, but switching back to mobile caused it to fail again. PHP is server side tech, right? It would seem the headers sent by the browser much change when switching between desktop and mobile.

Since other related threads indicate this issue started with upgrades being deployed by “corporate”, presumably they have a trouble ticket system they use to keep track of issues (I just retired from 40 years in IT operations so I sure hope they do). Can anyone confirm if this is an open issue being tracked by the folks that implemented the changes- clearly this was not “a couple of days and it will clear up itself” issue as I am finding more and more threads throwing the error message.

We are trying to fix page errors. They're happening on multiple sites and we're trying to identify the root cause
Bikeforums isn't the only horse in the Internet Brands corral, so hopefully this is a pretty high priority for them. (OTOH, web forums are only one component of most of their branded sites. Bikeforums seems to be a bit different in that regard.) Everything seems fine for me on the desktop at this point. On mobile, I get the error pretty consistently. I've learned to just flip to the desktop site in my browser to view particular posts. If you only use mobile that will be kind of painful (more difficult to respond, for example), but it's a decent interim workaround if you are largely reading the forum on your "big" computer or can switch to it while the problem gets sorted.

Thanks smontanaro : I feel better knowing it’s being tracked officially.
