Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Specialized Sirrus X 3.0 vs Canyon Roadlite 6

Hey!

I'm considering to buy one of these bikes and I can not decide between:
Specialized Sirrus X 3.0 equipped with Deore (not Microshift) (around 1000 eur, I tried the Sirrus x 3.0 in the store and the geometry fit me well)
vs Canyon Roadlite 6 (around 1300 eur)
vs Canyon Roadlite 5 (around 1100 eur)

The goal would be to bike around south Skane (South Sweden), mostly to get in shape, up to 50/60km a day mostly mixed between gravel asphalt and minor dirt roads.

Which bike would you recommend? PS: I am 182/104 kg, considering an L from both bikes.

Thanks for the replies and the help!
Reg.

For that kind of distance on road/gravel/dirt, I would consider a gravel bike or something with drop bars. I have a flat bar mountain bike I use on pavement or gravel and after an hour or so, my wrists are wishing for more comfortable hand positions. I don't have issues like that on my cyclocross bike when riding smooth gravel.

If you're set on those bikes, is it very hilly where you'll ride? If so, you may appreciate the double front chainring on the roadlite 6.

If you liked the upright geometry on the L sized Sirrus, the Roadlite will not be a good fit for you as it is a very aggressive bike.

You have to go down to the XS size Roadlite to match the reach of the Sirrus.
Can see how low the stack height is on that Canyon.

Re the hills/climbing thing already mentioned above, you will definitely want a much bigger cassette on the rear. A 48/50t would be good.
Have a look into that modification [cost + component switch], as you might also need a longer rear derailleur for such a big cassette.
A cheaper derailleur extender will allow a bigger cassette up to a certain size. You'll also need a new/long chain.
