This whole subliminal advertising thing is a myth. Still, I am a little thirsty.

^^^^^ Actually, the ask price is reasonable for a mid-level mid-'80s triple-equipped Japanese canti tourer with an intact (apparently) original rear rack in (apparently) quite good shape. That's where I'd price it. 'Course, I wouldn't:
* Shoot all vertical shots with a walkie-talkie pretending to be a camera, with no awareness of lighting direction, cutting off the subject in virtually every shot and including my own shadow in half of them
* Throw a useless catch-phrase in the description, leaving out ANY detail information about the frame, components, work done, etc
* Put bogus information in half of the itemized details
IOW, the bat-s#!+ wacko value claim is just one base-runner in this WW grand slam.

Properly listed, it would be a $225 bike. As advertised, I'd show up with three Jacksons. Maybe.

^^^^^ Dig the stoker bar position; guess the stoker and pilot have to be on pretty good terms......

(BTW I bought a red one, aprx same year, spring 2020 (for a fraction of the $$$) and I'm fine; maybe red is less contagious (shrug)?)

Go on an Adventure! :)

Ross Adventure Bike -- seller asking $150.

with that front fork it will be an adventure, all right, but not a long one...

Even if perfect the asking price is wildly optimistic.... and of course this oddly cropped photo is the only one in the ad....

just a typical example of an Italian bike.

Italy 10 Speed
$15
Listed 2 days ago in Minneapolis, MN

  • Condition
    Used – good

I have an older Italy 10 speed all the parts are there it just doesn't look good at all but the wheels are straight all the gears work just needs new inner tube and maybe a new paint job maybe break down and rebuild but the bike is extremely light 10 bucks pick up only St Louis Park

Not exactly crazy, more like misleading. An ad has been running for months for this bike as the Voyageur it is, but this new ad claims it's a Paramount. I didn't keep the original ad and can't compare details so someone might have bought from that ad and is now flipping it for 50% more.
