I recall that article.
I like the bike in second position, a Harry Quinn.
My Quinn had almost the same bottom bracket cutout, no drillings, but did have the sawcuts

Great article - thanks for posting!

I worked as a very part-time apprentice to Colin, during my senior year in high school, in '75 - '76.

Colin was a gas, and very helpful besides. If anyone has a '76 Laing, I may have mitered the tubes and filed the lugs for it...
