Cheap Tall Raleigh Competition in Wisconsin

Raleigh Competition G.S. XL $150 in Cedarburg, WI
Very cool 1980's Raleigh Steel Frame and wheels. Some parts have been removed over years due to modifications, but just about everything (minus the stem and handlebars) are there. Would need some tuning, new tires and brake work, but it's a sweet old vintage frame. Frame size is L/XL - originally bought for a person that is 6'3" tall. Price is $150 OBO.

Doesn't mean all of them were mislabeled, but if you really want SLX be sure to check the tubing butts inside the BB shell.

Just a data point: I sold an identical frame (BUT the fork was not OEM, it had a chrome Bottechia replacement fork) to a C&V member a few years ago, same paint, decals, GPM DOs, etc. Even tho it also had a Columbus SLX sticker it was NOT SLX, but was probably Columbus SL.

I believe the tubing mix is because Bianchi made the frames for these and that was normal for them. Labeled SLX meant little.
The original group is missing from this one too.
Mine is mostly Shimano TriColor,

Strangely, that is not the first "handmade in Italy" Peugeot I have seen. seem to be quite a few of them on Craigslist.

I can't quite make out the model so I am not sure on the "deal", I also thought it was a awfully nice looking bike, also don't see that many Miyatas so figured "if you are looking for one of these"
Most of the Miyatas are nice frames, I am sure someone here can identify the model from these bad pics

I thought the same thing, but head tube is brown on the 1200, it matches up with the 84' 710 has the same graphic on the seat tube and black head tube

Yeah, you're right. 710 is more likely. Just noticed it has fender eyelets too. So, probably not a 1200.

There's a smallish (54cm), beautiful fillet brazed Jack Taylor tourist on eBay right now. Advertised as NOS and I just about believe it.

bike - $100 - Paramount, CA
https://offerup.com/item/detail/e668...-8fc07c88a71c?
I can't identify this from these pics, Campagnolo - headset, seatpost, front derailleur, that I can see. Odd mix on the rest of the parts.
