I have 3 AA batteries/each for the Monkey-Electric bike lights. I use the lithium strength batteries and I only need to replace them once a year.

Almost everything else I have - front light, rear lights,- are rechargeable by the computer USB port or on USB supporting power strips. They might be a little more expensive up front but there are no extra fees on the batteries.

the iphone gets charged by the wall charger ...
