my r nut went on the bikesmith cotter.. weird i ordered the nicest cotter he had that were specific to raleigh, i thought they were threaded 26tpi... because my nut went right on and threaded down just like it should.. ymmv

Resurrecting an old thread, I know... but I'm recently in the same boat. Anyone ordered a set of 26 tpi cotter pins lately? Looks like the links in this thread are still up.

I know in America we differentiate between wire cotter pins that you bend to hold in place and these wedge bolts, but I wouldn't call it incorrect to call these bicycle cotters cotter pins like they do in England. Sometimes the Brits make more sense. Like pronouncing the H in herb garden or calling walls paneled when they actually have panels. And...+1 on the BikeSmith cotter press. I also highly recommend his tool for removing bottom bracket fixed cups.
