That's when a racer gets to the finish line ... I think.
It's possible Chase lost out on first by making a wrong turn. Chase and Matthew were within 5 minutes in/out of CP1; but Chase lost over 40 minutes on Matthew getting to CP2. Chase closed that gap to roughly 30 minutes at the finish. So the two riders look evenly matched, but adding 20 miles is gonna hurt your race for the top of the podium. That said, adding 20 miles and still finishing second ... WOW.
Yes, I'm fairly sure those are racer that abandoned but still have the tracker on while getting a ride in a car.
