Trek FX Bike
Hello! I’m back with a second post looking for opinions, comments, or advice. I took the advice of being patient and taking my time with finding a good quality used bike online. The description for the pictures below states that it’s “used-like new 19” frame with 21 speeds for $150”. As someone who is 5’8” I worry the 19” frame is a tad too big? I know I can go out and try it but figured I’d ask what others thought about the bike size/price/condition below first before making the drive.
Thank you in advance

Google bike sizing and take some personal measurements. Everyone is different.

$300 bike in my market during peak season. I think 19" would be perfect for you. Bring an Allen wrench for that post clamp.

I'm 5'7' and ride two 19" bikes. You will be fine. That's a very nice bike for the price.

Thanks for all the responses! I’m second in line for the bike. Someone else responded first so unless that falls through I’ll be looking elsewhere. Found a like new Trek FX 7.2 bike for $250 so might go for that one even if it’s a more expensive than the last. Still seems like a good deal to me.

Thank you for this! Yes, I made sure to measure my bicycle inseam. Looks like the trek 7.3 FX was accounted for! Do you think it makes sense to pay $225 for a like new 7.2 FX or should I keep waiting? Only reason I’m hesitant was cause that 7.3 was a great deal for only $150

How fast do you want to start riding? $150 mint 7.3 fx is a steal, you won't find it every day, if ever. You may be lucky in the winter when someone needs to get rid of it quickly. 7.2 is a nice bike and that's a decent price, but it was $200 cheaper MSRP.

I wanted to start riding the beginning of September but I’ve held out in order to find a good bicycle for myself and my needs. But now that we’re in the middle of October, I don’t want to lose more fall riding time. The 7.3 fx totally was a steal! And from my own research I’m seeing the 7.2 is a bit of a downgrade on parts so I’m deciding whether or not to just get it so I can ride in the fall or hold out for something better. It was being sold for $250 but I was able to ask the seller to lower it so it’s $225

Get the 7.2, try offering an even $200 first. Sometimes offer "cash, within hour" works, although I personally hate those. If seller doesn't budge, get it anyway. Start riding it, while looking for a better deal, then sell the 7.2. I sold a crappy almost new Schwinn for $250 and in a couple of days found Trek 7.3 for $50. These deals exist if you're patient.
