Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Well, let's see. The concentration of Remicade in the bloodstream of your average bat is 0mg/mL, so you'd need an infinite number of bats.

Since we are “only” 55 we are going to sit tight and let it ride. Gonna be one or maybe two more cycles before we need to tap into retirement savings.

I like how it doesn't look like a weight weenie bike.

Not that it matters what I think:

Both editions come in three sizes: 50, 53, and 56.

Needs 60mm wheels. But that paint... I would do unholy things with that bike.

I'd need a 120mm stem though, apparently.

I didn't take the day completely off. I took a nap in the morning and then tackled that sink. Two and a half hours later I almost have enough space to install the stainless double. I found and cut all three pieces of rebar, on both ends, and now have just the last bits of concrete along the bottom corners.
When changing from a single sink to a double, do I want a gooseneck for each side, before they join up, or can they both use the same one? Inquiring minds.

I would like to try riding as a 190lb person instead of 220, just to see what it's like. I mean what if I go through all the trouble to lose 30 pounds and it turns out not to be worth it?

Just buzzed my hair down to 4mm for my second lockdown haircut; it had gotten far too long. I should do it more often, but I'm always afraid I'll look like a skinhead.

190 is still too fat for this sport.

It's worth it, well worth it.

It wasn't unusual for me to come out of a long MN winter at 220 lbs and I would generally drop ~20 lbs from winter to late summer. The last few years, I've been better about not putting the same 20 lbs back on each winter while still losing ~20 lbs each riding season, so I've been bottoming out 5+ lbs lighter each year. Right now, I'm a little over 180 and not carrying that extra weight is night and day, even with as little elevation gain as there is to be had in my area. When there is a hill, though? Pfffft - such a difference.

I think at one point around about 20 years ago I was down to 195 or so. And, yeah, the difference was huge.
