Here is one of the comments from the BikinginLA link.

"Of course I clicked on the YouTube link, and the first set of comments is about how cyclists are the problem."

Continues to confirm my long-time statement that bad driving has become the acceptable norm.

Posting ignorant or uninformed comments on various social media platforms seems to have become the norm, at least for some. Most intelligent people are able to separate the wheat from the chaff and recognize the value of such comments, others use such comments to reinforce their own biases.

I am interested in why there was no ticket given to the law breaking motorist. They say the motorist didn't appear to be intoxicated. This really shouldn't matter. The motorists killed the bicyclist while braking the law.

It's so reassuring to know that, according to the news report, the driver was not hurt.

I read both links and I don’t see how you can be so sure she didn’t receive a ticket. The news story is very brief and makes no reference to anything and the obviously biased bikinginLa link only states that she ‘doesn’t seem to have been arrested, or even ticketed’
You keep trumpeting it though without the facts.
That’s true advocacy BF style

It would be interesting to know if the BF A&S so-called " advocates" will rest easy and be satisfied that justice has been served if the car driver receives a traffic ticket for this incident.

Vehicular caused deaths don't always get indictments at the scene. It still will be reviewed by the county DA and possibly the State depending on jurisdiction. Then and only then do the charges come out and it'll be more than just a ticket. Come on, a ticket for an accident caused death?? The authorities have one chance to cover all bases as you can't be charged twice. I bet they're going over the books now. It also doesn't rule out wrongful death suits after the courts have had their chance. BikingLA should know that.

I am not a lawyer or LEO, but I assume no indictments for any serious crime occurs at the scene of serious automobile incidents. Nor does the failure of an LEO to issue a ticket promptly at the scene prevent an appropriate indictment for the accused crime being handed down as the case is handled by the appropriate authorities at a later time.

BikingLA and some of our local A&S advocates may or may not know that, but I doubt if they care when they have the scent of blood and vengeance stirring their emotions.

Who stated or implied that they wish there are no consequences?
