TA tandem triple (28-42-52) crossover
SOLD - Most of this crankset came from a Motebecane Interclub. It was a double, and I happened to have both the 28-tooth small sprocket and the triple-length chainring bolts and some other bits from a previous encounter. It also has guard-rings for both the timing chain and the main drive sprockets.
170mm, english threading, all tapers and pedal threads good. All parts present and correct (missing from photo were the spacers for the rear drive-side guard-ring but they do exist and are installed).
It's not perfect - see pics.
There is evidence of at least one chain-derailment each side (possibly the same event, I don't know) - worst is scars on the inside of the crank spiders and some teeth that are not the best shape on one of the timing gears.
One of the crankarms (front drive side) has had some bashing at the base (also same event?).
The rear drive side has a mark from the guard ring, and the front drive side inside has a scratch through the anodizing at about the same level.
There are some other nicks and such, and faint toe-strap rub polish-marks.
A number of the little hex-head screws had rounded corners and worse, I had a few spares so substituted them in for the worst ones; whoever purchases this will also get a 1/4 drive 8mm socket ground flat as that's what you need to get at the little buggers.
Two of the crank caps had rounded hexes so I swapped them out for a pair of better ones.
The crank-arm stickers are not bad, some edges lifting in spots but still presentable.
Everything has been dis-assemembled, cleaned (it is extremely clean), and re-assembled. All the bolts were lubed and tightened to 50 inch-pounds, which is my guess after doing the math from Nm typical values. Does anyone know a TA recommended torque?
175 USD as shown. There are 165 individual parts in this crankset (counting the stickers), that's just over a dollar a part, and I'll pay the (not inconsiderable from where I am) postage.
Pics are all crops and assemblies, let me know if you want the full size versions.
