Viagra vs Cialis?

At 76 I have prescriptions for both. I find that Cialis has a longer half-life but Viagra produces a more intense response. Since I do not come here much maybe this should be moved. Which do you prefer? Neither has any effect on my cycling performance. The Viagra tinges everything blue for a while but works great. It works best taken on an empty stomach. What are your thoughts?

I have no experience with either drug, but as someone who grew up and managed to survive with an I'll Try Anything Once attitude about illicit pharmaceuticals, I've long been intrigued by a friend's reference to "recreational Viagra" ...so my first thought after reading OP was "Have you ever taken them simultaneously?"

Not recommended. Could drop blood pressure levels too low.

can't answer that question but would note that daily low dose cialis helps relieve numbness when riding.

I am partial to Pfizer's blue pill since it enormous cashflow allowed PFE to build the team a golf club on the premises called Raffeen Creek in Ringaskiddy on Cork harbor in Ireland. I've never taken it but remember the pharmacokinetics are rapid, the active ingredient sildenafil was originally intended for acute angina. So, if time is of the essence.....go Blue. It has been decades but I had had all of the development and clinical data on the drug. My memory might be all messed up, but it is fast. Or try both, OP. Have fun

When I first took up running in 1973 I slowly made the connection between fitness and what I put into my body. I would go on a run and would be picked up by my friends at times and light up smoke and do a few hits on a joint. But as I became more serious about fitness I eschewed tobacco and weed and more importantly cocaine that was appearing everywhere. In 1985 I was running 10k's in 30 minutes. I could win races and this was a tremendous boost to my fragile ego that was suffering from a wife wife who cheated on me. I was between a rock and a hard place as I had to decide if I was going to leave two children to the indigence of a fractured family. It was like standing in the window of a highrise and choosing to jump or burn. Maybe I deserved what I got, maybe not. I was 26.

Thanks to Frank Shorter 1972 I took the road less traveled and it made a huge difference. I could have turned to drugs to cope but I went a different way. Now I am on my way to eighty and I am in great shape. In 1983 thanks to stress fractures I began going to the bike. Another momentous decision I do not regret. Viagra and Cialis work by increasing blood flow to areas and blocking relaxing veins in the penis. I can please a younger wife and concentrate on her pleasure not mine. This is the best of times for old men.

Yes absolutely. That's why we were given this Pills and Ills subforum to discuss all things medical and pharmaceutical related. And still ride a bike.

Well, in that case, I guess it's okay for me to admit that I need medication to perform.
That's right, I have to rub some Aspercreme on my knee before I can ride my bike.

Well there ya go
I have been riding indoors every single day 1 to 3 hours and rely on voltaren and cortisone to keep the knee going.

If my knee gets a tad cracky and creaky I do squats. About 20 will silence them..

Squats work miracles. i do the lunge type squats, meaning one knee at a time with the other leg extended behind me, and it's done wonders for my bad knee. Although i have to say my bad knee didn't affect my biking. Highly recommended. Biking is low impact on your knees and why this is such a great sport for us older types.
Cialis also highly recommended if you're an old man and still like a little frisky now and then.
