It hasn't been 3% in the States for some time. It's almost 6%. Today's stats are 58,955 deaths over 1,030,000 confirmed cases = 5.7%. However, it will likely end up much lower percentage wise as they discover how many have been asymptomatic. Still, who cares about percentages? The absolute numbers are appalling.

I weep for the States. They've fumbled this so badly and are tearing themselves apart.

It's no accident, it's a deliberate policy... pushed by the Rapturists on one hand https://washingtonmonthly.com/2020/0...tian-zionists/ and the small government weirdos on the other hand https://www.politico.com/magazine/st...n-union-214889
And this is not tin foil hat stuff, you can google speeches where they talk about breaking the system...

...we now have the interesting phenomenon of (in general) the same generation that was culled for the Vietnam war losing similar numbers to this virus. But in the space of several months, not all those years. I think that the paople in the really high death areas like New York City are all shell shocked right now. I know I am, a little bit, and I live in California, where it's been slightly better managed.

The clown is never in charge of the circus. In my opinion the circus has been in town for a couple decades or more. The clown is always just a side show. We need to get rid of the circus and only then will we be done voting for the better of two clowns.... It's not a hoax....

Too much politics in this thread. If you want to discuss the political side of COVID-19, take it to P+R.
