Wacky hack of the day

As I was taking a Covid test for the Thanksgiving festivities yesterday, It dawned on me the little test vial would be good for carrying a shot of grease in the tool kit which on my bikes is extensive.

And yes I realize properly maintained bikes are unlikely to need any grease on the road but you never know, I've had a couple of times when had I had some, I would have investigated further. Neither instance proved out as I recall but again, you never know.

Also realize its a little creepy but I soaked it in antibacterial soap while we were out then cleaned, dried and filled with the needled grease gun, Voila, good to go.

And no positives out of 10 family members so......

Great idea.

I've often thought about using a Zycam nasel spray bottle for oil.

Like, you're not going to put a piece of tape on it that says 'used'?

Nah, its implied by the grease being in there.

Not bike-related, but I use a specimen cup for a travel-size amount of hair product. I got it new from work,so no need to rinse it out first.

Yea, they are super robust and plentiful, the rest rooms in our ED have a big bin of new ones for all the patients that roll through.

I keep a soy sauce fish, like you get with take out sushi, filled with wet lube in my spares kit for long brevets.
