Two and Four Prong Freewheels Tools
I need to buy a freewheel tool for a Regina two-prong freewheel. Can I use a two-prong tool also for four prong freewheels like Suntour?

I STRONGLY recommend using the correct tool for 4 prong FW's.
The 2 prong Sun Tour remover is prone to breakage. Sometimes when you do everything right, including using the skewer or axle nut to keep the tool snug against the FW.
You're basically gambling with fatal odds using the wrong tool.
Keep in mind. Most FW's that need these tools have been on a LONG time.

looking at the various tools and freewheels in question... Nope.i wouldn't even try it unless you like ruining parts.
FWIW.. most Regina freewheels are in the 40+ year old range and can be a Real Pain to remove.... heck, they liked to get stuck when they were new!
Find a different wheel and cut your losses... i've ripped a vise right off a bench trying to loosen one of those stupid things.
oh, and i ripped the prongs off a Park Suntour 2 prong tool last year... in a vise, after two days of periodic penetrant oil infusions, tool nutted to the axle with just enough room to break the evil bonds of age.... snap.
find a different wheel to save time, money, and possibly blood

2 prong Regina and Suntour have very different configurations.
The prong size, depth, and diameter are different.
I STRONGLY recommend using the specific correct tool (brand doesn't matter) for any freewheel. To do otherwise risks the tool, and especially with Regina, the freewheel itself

I have 2-prong and 4-prong freewheel tools. The prongs are thicker on the 2-prong. It won't surprise me if you break the wheel instead. @maddog34 's vise wasn't securely mounted.
ever broken a bench vice? i have... at work.
and i've made a replacement lead screw for one that someone else broke when i was in college... 1" acme threads...i understand that a sledge hammer was involved with that failure....i was 15 when i built that lead screw... the vise was far older than i.... turn of the 19th century.

I had a two prong freewheel removal tool for Suntour freewheels, and I was able to file down the notches on a Regina freewheel so that the Suntour tool fit. It came off with no problems.
