@TriBiker19, Well, it doesn't get much better than that, does it? Sweet ride!

Found myself shifting around more and more after about 30 miles on my Ironman, so this came yesterday:

My, Old Soldier Retirement Home has another tenant as of today. As I understand it, this is a circa 1970 frame. Going to build it up with a set of 27" wheels.

This isn't a high-end bicycle, but despite having a number of bicycles badged as Raleighs that were made in the same facility, I've never owned a Carlton.
This came to me courtesy of boatsinbottles, who initially posted this in the Frame doesn't fit thread. This will fit my wife perfectly.

It's a Corsa model - which from what I can tell isn't terribly different from a Raleigh Grand Prix when you get past the finish and decorations.

This stem won't be coming along for the ride. Considering whether to keep it for display.

This is the too-large for anyone here, impulse-buy Elswick Hopper that will be going out the door to make room for it.

I've always liked the Carlton head badges

The color is a bit more different than I thought it would be from my '49 Clubman. As I'm building the Corsa as a 5-speed, my wife will have a one gear advantage when we go riding.

Got more than enough projects for the winter now,

I was about to click on some new Dia-Compe from Alex's and these popped up on eBay for my Competition G.S. Seller says they are soft. They be soft. I'll try them out this weekend as I try again to wear out some Sprinter Gatorskins that some folks would have tossed 100s of miles ago.

For my Weinmann 605 on the '78 Raleigh Comp. G.S.

Got this in. Was cheaper to order this kit than just spacers... I'll find a youth to give the cog to I guess.

This...sorta bike related. I've been listening to it as I work on a couple of the rides and it will go onto my music player for those long ride days.

A new 5-speed freewheel

I'm down to only one 5-speed in my small collection. It's on my grocery getter, a '75 Grand Record. The IRD freewheel started skipping on its 16t cog, so I tossed it. I looked to ebay for a 14-28t. And it's really slim pickin's for new ones. I'm just not fully content with the Sunrace offerings other than the chrome plated ones. Those are most easily found in the 7-speed variety. So I pulled the trigger on a new 5-speed Shimano freewheel on ebay.

It's not as golden as it looks in the photo, but it works well and has no ugly *** writing on the big cog. So ...

Agree with the ugly azz writing, it comes right off with wire wheel and then doesn't look too bad at all.

Stubborn branding like that usually comes off with carb clean and elbow grease when its on a surface that will stand up to it.

Nice choice. Haven't listened to much of her solo stuff, but still enjoy the Concrete Blonde material.
Sadly, a fair portion of her scars are self inflicted.

The Pretty & Twisted album she did with the Wall of Voodoo folks is off the hook good. Some songs are pretty dark but it's truly amazing work with some really strong music accompanying her stellar vocals. The drums, wow!

These came from 'Down Under' the other day, Thanks Greg, for Cherry Tomatoe SBX. I don't need all of them though, and I am not sure I want to sit for hours on the DeFont website to find this script to make a model decal. I suspect I'll never see a Record 920 nor are the chances owning a Formula 1 frame that good, but most of the set will look smashing
