You're not the idiot who suggested some bizarro homeopathic hippie remedy last week were you?
https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...507&highlight= scroll down to post#7.
The week that my knee was the size of a volleyball? I took two days off the bike and took anti inflammatory meds and it calmed down. Then I had to take more Advil after I crashed my bike Saturday (I should have broken my shoulder, I was lucky). Then I managed to make it to the TT with my black and blue left forearm and my swollen left hand (that half the people here were saying I should have X-rayed, it's fine). I'm not complaining, I'm just reporting the circumstances. NSAIDs do thin your blood.
Pretty soon, like all geriatric patients, you'll be much more concerned about & giving us reports of whether you had your obligatory morning bowel movements.
P.S. If you had a knee like mine you'd be on a friggin walker.
Thousands like you around- but better/tougher (myself included)...
P.P.S. I continue to quaff Glucosomine/Chondroitin, which generally helps.
But when this cranky knee goes south, it needs medical intervention, not Prevention Magazine bull****.

P.P.P.S. Why the F would I pay any attention to most of the moronic advice I get here? I do get some good input on the Racing Forum. Here I just play Whackamole with pinheads like yourself.

Personally, I would love to see PCad in the Tour de France 2009:
- Unparalleled "Trash Talk" during the race, ŕ la Broadstreet Bullies.
- Endless attacks on the yellow jersey... PCad is no quitter.
- The post stage race interviews... I get goosebumps just thinking about it.
EDIT: I'm wondering if Botto would babysit...?

Actually, I went back and read Ezee's post. Sound advice, well thought out, so I owe him a tip of the Pcad cap. He was NOT the space cadet who suggested the silly hippy remedy after all. Sorry Ezee, sometimes I just assume everybody here is a complete idiot. I do admire your ability to spew invective, that says something for you. Carry that Universal Loathing into your bike racing.
Actually Ezee, I don't take NSAID too often, I'm off them completely now even with my arm/hand still bruised and swollen. I try to save them for my knee. I agree with your recommendation to lay off the hammering when it's inflamed, two days off last week probably did more to help it come back than the drugs. I had Synvisc injections last February which held off the arthritis until the last month or so. My knee is OK today, hope I can hold off on further injections until next year or longer.
By the way, I'm sure you're a better bicycle racer than me, but when I get my new Cervelo you're in Big Trouble kid.

Cervelo, The Ride of the Guads:
S2, Dura Ace 7900, upgrading the wheels to Mavic SL (like the ES wheels) but I'll mainly race it with Zipp 404 tubulars, upgrading cluster to Dura Ace (comes with Ultegra) and the handlebars to FSA K-Wing, saddle to Specialized Toupe 143.
You are all in Big Trouble when I get this bicycle. This can not be overstated.
Test rode it the other day. Great race bike, fits me really good (at least as good as the Cdale) but the Six13 really is a more comfortable ride. F comfort. The S2 is lighter, stiffer, more aero, faster. This is going to be my hard core race bike (as hard core as I can possibly get that is).

Pretty bike. I do not like how Cervelo rides, as you noted, but they make a pretty, puposeful bike.
The only way I race you is if you carry 55 lbs of extra weight. Actually will be in NY early next week visiting my brother on a stopover to Africa. Gonna hang with the elephants from which I think I descended.

Anybody that thinks the Soloist has a comfortable ride hasn't ridden a comfy bicycle. The Six13 is way more comfy, the Ibis Ti is comfier still. I trust I will get used to the Soloist, besides, when my HR is over 180 I can't get comfortable on anything and I have much bigger problems than how comfortable I am. Like wondering if I'm going to detonate and scatter my friggin gaskets all over Prospect Park.

I tried the Six13 last week and I felt the ride too nervous and rigid, was concerned that my back wouldn't be able to handle it on longer rides. But for short rides, it's a steal no doubt.
EDIT: I also tried the Seven Aramis (I think it's Aramis) titanium and whooooa... comfy and goes by itself effortlessly.

I didn't like the R3 or the Soloist. Loved the Guru Geneo and Kestrel RT700. I hope you do well on the Cervelo. Or whatever you ride. You gonna race the MB?

The Six13 has an amazingly compliant rear triangle for me and the CF front end takes the edge off road vibration. Great riding bike. The Ti bike is the best, like a giant leaf spring, but I've done numerous 110 mile days on the Six13 with no comfort issues whatsoever, plus it's a much better race bike than the Ti bike, lighter, stiffer BB, etc. The Soloist affords racing and performance advantages, it's lighter, you give up some comfort for sure. But that's fine for me, it will be a third road bike that I'll primarily use for racing and competitive/fast group rides that are like races.
Of course what's a 'compliant' ride and what's a 'stiff' ride is highly subjective and varies for each person depending on numerous factors.
