Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Almost hot. Need to be happy with the fit so you can chop off those things above the stems.

Yeah, I'm not sure about hard and fast rules.

I'd like to think it's possible that a parts bin bike could be hot...

Yeah, that color scheme has been run into the ground. I'd like to see some good ole red, white and blue offerings. I really do like the introduction of blue into that scheme.

Hot if it had half those spacers.

I'm also not crazy about the silver braided cable housing. I would have used the "carbon" color.

If you say so...

My bikes are not that nice, hence my comment, so I don't get the point of your reply, which just seems mean

I could take the housings either way. I see the reasoning behind the braided, but I also like your idea of the carbon look.

I call it hot, because I take slowgo's work on the reduced spacer stack. Really a handsome bike.

It’s a beautiful bike. I’m just pointing out a couple of minor tweaks.

I submit for judgement my recently assembled and tweaked Merckx MX Leader, with some nerdy matchy-matchy colours.

Beautiful bike! Love the color. Your rear deraillure cable housing looks too short and is bent a bit, to my eyes.
