A light assortment of common bandages, a triangular cloth, ace wrap, gauze pads and wrap, gloves, and (most importantly) packets of normal saline solution; plus an extra, full water bottle. My last four mishaps have all been cared for with a cleansing mixture (or poultice) of normal saline, and bandages/pads wrapped in gauze/ace. The insect sting required the poultice. All very light and versatile.

Been cycling most of my 60 years with rides up to 7 hours, including 28 years of daily bike commuting...never carried first aid; however that is in and around urban areas. If I were bicycle touring well away from help, then yes, I might take some bandages and disinfectants.
