But really, use a hammer to take 1 crank arm off. It is lee work than not removing it.

I “made” one of these and it worked on a number of 3 sp Raleighs (sports, tourist, sprite) without damaging the cotter pins. However it will not work for Williams cranks or similar on 50s/60s drop bar bikes like Lenton, Clubman, etc. It does not have enough reach.
