My gradually disappearing Schwinn
It's a 1986 Giant made Schwinn World. It is hi-ten steel not chromoly. The rear 27" wheel is a replacement after I blew out the spokes on the original. Going to 700C rims and better brakes.
After this, the only original parts will be the frame, fork, seat post, and shifters.
LBS thinks they can fit Schwalbe Marathons (32mm to 35mm) under the fenders. I'd be fine with 28mm, but bigger is better.

Good that you are getting long term use out of it and by replacing the used up parts it will live on for a long time more.

The Giant built Schwinn World was a low end bike, but the frame geometry and the fit and finish are much higher that you would have expected from a low end bike. When I had one I was surprised at how good it rode, even with the steel wheels. It was my go-to bike for a while. Since I have a garage full of bikes, it got sold.
It looks like you tried to post a picture, however, I cannot see it. I don't know if it is me or if others cannot see it either. Thanks for trying to post.
