Articles included:
"Cycling Collectibles"
"Off the Back: A Jerk Gets His"
As usual, let me know if you'd like to see something else listed in the ToC and I'll add it in a reply to this post, post it separately, or send you a pdf.
If the latter, just send me a PM that includes your email address.

I ran into Jim Langley at the 1991 Great Western Bike Rally. I'd talked to him previously since I worked for Bike'alog and was pretty good a tracking down obscure bike parts. At GWBR he was on his high-wheeler while I was on my Lightning recumbent. I bet we made an interesting pair.

Hi SpeedofLite,
Please post the "Oops, I Goofed: The 9 Most Common Bike Maintenance Mistakes" article. Should be enlightening.

Bicycle Repairman
The first issue of Bicycling magazine I ever bought! Just started working at a shop when this issue came out and I was getting into collecting vintage balloon tire bikes at that time which is why I bought it.
Used to talk to Leon Dixon on the old AOL instant messenger and finally got to meet him at the Hershey car show several years later. Fascinating guy to talk to.

Thanks SpeedofLite.
I found the ad for the Schwinn FOLDING mountain bike interesting; I had never heard of the Montague BiFrame.
Anyone here have one of these or ever ride one? Any concerns about durability?

Re. "A Jerk Gets His" -- I've been commuting by bike daily since the '90s, and it seems to me that I see a lot less of that aggressive driver behavior than I used to. I'm not sure, though, if it's just my own increase in experience, confidence, and gray hair that explains it, or if drivers are actually less triggered by the presence of people on bikes (and maybe more distracted by their phones...). Thoughts?

Hey Brian, In G'ville the guy that puts on the annual Ride of Silence does a great job and gets all 3 local TV stations involved. That might be a small part of the locals being more accepting in sharing the road. I really hope it's not because they're too busy on their cell phones Hope to see you at the R of S Wed. May 19th - I've been talking it up to the 2 groups I ride with as a worthwhile fun ride that helps our cause as cyclists.
