Kind of an out-of-left-field question, but does mstateglfr or anybody else have a line on a color code for this purple on this Novara? I'm having something resprayed and want to get close to this, but my eyes glaze over when I view color swatches/chips. Anybody got deets?
I had a Ron Stout pretty much the same color, sold it off a while back, and want something back in-house that same shade/color.

1989 Novara Trionfo frame with Shimano 105 5800 drivetrain, innicycle headset, and 25mm Conti GP5k TDF skinwall tires. One of my kids asked for her road bike to be painted so I took it to the powdercoater and snuck this frame along with it. We now have matching bikes which she is a good sport about.

I will be reposting past heresy for the future. No present bikes have STIs/Ergos--they're either 10-speed down tube shifter or 10-speed bar end shifter-equipped. Indexed, of course. 
1974 Schwinn Paramount with 11-speed Campagnolo Athena EPS (electronic shifting):
With 10-speed Shimano Ultegra Di2 (6770 to be specific)
Slightly less heretical: 3x10 Shimano Dura-Ace Greatest Hits Edition
1987 Schwinn Prologue wearing the above-shown Ultegra Di2. HOT bike, and one that just ducked the 20 lb mark.
1984 Miyata 610 sport tourer with Dura-Ace 7900 shifters (and FD) and an XT RD (M771)
1981 Trek 710 (716 if built as original with Shimano 600 Arabesque) with a bunch of 7800-era Dura-Ace (and 7400 crankset). My components make the rounds!

- Brooks C17 seat (love it for all weather comfort)
- DT Swiss PR1600 (super quiet, great bang for buck performance)
- Marathon Supreme 35mm (great commuter tyre and decent balance of performance/comfort)
- Catalyst Evo pedals (biggest I can find, and toe clip isn't an issue)
Only future changes planned are converting to Microshift 1x10 for simplicity reasons but now starting to doubt that decision

I really need to do a Shimergo build. I have bikes that use respaced cassettes to pair Shimano cassettes with Campy shifters and derailleurs, and I have bikes that mix pre-2000 Campy derailleurs with post-2000 Campy shifters to work with Shimano cassettes, but I haven't tried the Shimergo solution yet.

Hoping to be able to post a photo here quite soon. I'm "downgrading" my Colnago Master Olympic from 8-speed Record to 12-speed Chorus. Still waiting for cranks, cassette, BB and wheels though. It won't look as silvery and sophisticated as before, but I'm hoping the polished Royce hubs can compensate for that a little bit.

yes, that's about my recollection as well. My Mondonicos are displayed there, and they are both 10s. When I get a few more seconds of free time, I'll make Mondonico posts here.
Hoping to finish my Rudge Aero Special hot-rod roadie with several changes to improve weight and comfort, but at the moment I don't know where I'll put it. Retro Roadies because of tradition, C&V (this thread) because it might inherit the mantle, or Love of 3-speeds, but it might not be be a 3sp by then.

Figured a new thread could start on this forum for the modernization builds where 10, 11, and 12sp drivetrains(or inevitably more cogs in the future) are paired to the C&V road frames we love.
Here are a couple to start.
1988 Schwinn Premis frame with Shimano 5800 105 drivetrain, innicycle headset, and 28mm Panaracer GK slick tires. The frame was destroyed when I got it- rust on every tube, cable guides busted, etc. Brazed on some new cable guides and had it powdercoated.

ReeRodz Powder Coating in Prole, about 30min south of the city.
I would say they are good enough. They arent Groody Bros good, based on pics Ive seen online, but they are good enough for what I want and want to spend. $125 for the powder, full prep, and application. On a different frame they did, I had to file down powdercoating on the head tube and bottom bracket shell to ensure the headset cups and bottom bracket fit flush and square. So basically there was 10min of cleanup. They are for sure not a bicycle powdercoater, but for that price I will definitely use them again for a kids bike or one that I intend to ride instead of wall hang.

Ha, yes those tires have made their way to a couple bikes so far. The blue frame had em for a year, then I tore it down and moved everything over to a different frame with 25mm max tires, so the 28mm GKs went on my oldest kid's road bike.
