What headset for world's ugliest Colnago?
I am building up a frame /fork that was cheap, because it is literally the only Colnago I have ever seen that is ugly.
(apologies to those who have one of these and crack open a beer and just stare at how beautiful it is)
I need to know what to buy to complete the headset. The only 3 parts I have are crown race, lower cup, and upper cone.

+3 for suggesting a new headset. There looks to be substantial scuffing on the pics you provided and a new headset just isnt expensive.
As for the frame- it isnt an iconic paint scheme but it also doesnt seem ugly. Why buy and spend money on a bike you dislike the look of?

I wouldn’t call that frame ugly but there’s no mistaking what brand it is.

Those look like Stronglight A9 headset parts. IMO, that's one of the best headsets ever put on the market, but it's been out of production for many years now. You may be able to find a used one to supply the missing parts.
N.B. the scuffing on the parts does not affect performance, as the bearings ride on separate floating races.

Beauty is in the eye of the...
To each their own, but I find the bike mildly attractive. The name of the frame designer proudly displayed. Given, it's not nearly as beautiful as the 70s and 80s frames, but In today's world of $5,000 frames being made anonymously in an unknown asian factory, it's an eye catcher

I sincerely hope that you are not serious about this. I love this sort of flamboyant colour scheme. I have a Look 481SL Jalabert edition and it also sports a similar but a bit more subdued style. I know that beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. My eye finds beauty here
