It's no bargain, but $450 is not outrageous for a bike if a knowledgeable person had completely gone through it to make sure it's 100% ready to go. I'm no fan of the color, but it takes a lot of work to strip a frame, refinish it, and build it back up with parts that also have value. If it really is a Nuovo Racing, it has Columbus butted main tubes and likely Falk stays and perhaps fork. It's a pretty decent, Italian-made frame. I bet over 90% of the potential market appreciates that it has some decals and could care less how correct they are. I remember going up to Canada decades ago and a builder showing me that they had decals that were similar to the ones they used on their own bikes, but in the names of fictitious brands, They used them on repaints where the manufacturer was nothing special or where the correct decals were unavailable. It used to be quite difficult to source decals; we're living in the golden age. today.

Restored* 1940-50's English Road Bike. 61cm - $200 (richmond / point / annex)

That hole in the downtube was for a pivot in the original rod brake linkage. I think the seller used "restored" when he meant "recycled," as these were made from iron plumbing pipe pulled out of collapsed London buildings during The Blitz. ;-)

Apparently these are quite valuable in Japan.
Move the decimal point two places to the left when this brake is stamped "Tourney" instead of "Shimano 600." The first version had a standard straddle cable and was stamped "Dura Ace," the first component to wear this name, IIRC. These C-pulls are probably the only Shimano component that was sold as three different models. Campy was famous for running the same component down through multiple model names, especially in the 1990s.

I have a NOS set of the "Dura Ace" and at one time I had the "Tourney" version which may still be buried out in the garage somewhere. I wondered at the time I bought them why NOS Dura Ace center pulls were so cheap, then I noticed they were eerily "similar" to the Tourney when I compared them side by side LOL.

Bonded aluminium Alan that's had repeated bad days, from the FB crazy department. Seller does mention "Please Note - this is a great restoration project, the top bar was originally snapped in a training accident and bolted back together therefore not suitable for riding." Good thing it comes with an incomplete Campagnolo seat "pole".

$70 for 10 speed Chorus ergos? If they were local, I've have picked them up by now no matter what the seller called them. But then, I have a thing for 10 speed Campagnolo.

This seller seems to have confused his Miyata Elevation 1000 (mountain bike) with the venerable Miyata 1000 tourer. "Known as the best touring bike in the world." Fortunately, he's not charging 1000 prices for it.

"Two Classic Titanium Frames - These Bikes fully assembled are hard to find and often sold out. Great find for a hobbyist bike mechanic or a bike shop that specializes in Legendary Frankenstein Kits. Excellent starter, for a great bike project. These will last a life time. $350 per frame or $650 for both, as is."

They were pretty cool, a few of the old guys in the club I rode with in the….. well when I was in school had them. I had two but for some reason they wouldn’t work correctly for me.

Size matters

I've got an eagle eye for steer tube lengths on steel frames. I honed on on this one as soon as I saw it, and was surprised (or was I?) at how inaccurate this listing is, in addition to disobeying the 1st Commandment: DRIVE SIDE OUT.
