TV screen height for indoor drop-bar bike?
Finally got a man-cavelet where I have a desk for remote work and Zooms, and a road bike (Mondonico) on a Kickr Snap. I want to set up a screen as well for training apps map displays. How high above the ground are screen usually installed? For lazy watching it's one thing but for looking at the screen while on a bike saddle, the spine is inclined forward, tending to want to rotate the screen position to be close to the ground. Makes sense to me, but is this what people typically do? Just for entertainment viewing from a chair, I'd put the screen maybe 18" above seated eye height. If my body rotates into a hands on hoods position, the screen wants to move down real close to the ground, unless I go with a small, close screen near bar height, maybe ontop of that utility stand sold by Wahoo.
How are the rest of y'all setting up your training stands?

I'd try and line up the virtual road horizon with your own IRL one.

My garage setup...

Should be able to judge position from bike and workbench in the photo. Laptop sits on a vise with monitor behind.

Normal TV viewing height works for me. You don't want something that will put your neck in an un-natural position (TV over the fireplace sort of thing).

Yep. I thought my tv was too low so I built a stand to raise it up 6” or so off my table. After a couple rides, I took it off the stand. I’m guessing the screen height is a personal thing for each user.

This is how my TV is setup. Might be a little too high, but it has to fit in the room and I also use it to watch while the Mrs. is using the real TV to watch The Batchelor.

I display zwift on a screen that's sitting on top of a small tower. Works okay. It would be fine on my TV, but I usually play music with the tv

I have my bike on trainer right next to my work desk and 23" monitor and don't have any problems with neck or shoulders. Not sure about other people but I don't think I ever go down into the drops when Zwifting and often just sit right up. Don't really see a need to grab the bars unless I'm pushing hard.

I have a 27" monitor at normal desk height a few feet in front of my trainer. Best viewing angle for me is with the screen slightly tilted up.

I run a 42" monitor for my Zwift setup. The bottom edge of the screen is roughly the same height as my handlebars. I'm also very close to the screen, my handlebars are maybe 36" from the screen.

If I'm pushing hard on Zwift I'm almost always in the drops. On longer climbs I'll be more on the hoods.
I also try to stand every few minutes and get out of the saddle, even if it's just for a few seconds.

I still haven't learned to stand with my rocker plate. I'm working on it though. I don't stare at my stem like Froome, but I could put a screen horizontal on the floor just in front of my front wheel and be perfectly comfortable. When I'm outside I have to remind myself to look up on occasion.

Mine is so big and so far in front of me, that it doesn't really matter.
(Old setup - I've moved to a smart trainer now and that bike was wrecked when I got hit by a car riding IRL in 2020 - but the positioning is still the same as I have to be behind where everyone sits when we use the projector to watch movies.)

Car, yeah, not so much - but I'm not familiar with other platforms (I have ridden through avatars and seen the inside of their faces when riding in first person mode on Zwift before one of the pack dynamics updates). The IRL was a semi joke.

[QUOTE=Road Fan;22805339]Finally got a man-cavelet where I have a desk for remote work and Zooms, and a road bike (Mondonico) on a Kickr Snap.
Road Fan, plenty of info on TVs. I am more interested in your Mondonico. I have a couple of Antonio's frames, but use a CR bike for the turbo. I guess if the old steel Tour guys sweated on the steel it probably is OK to sweat on them in the man cave, but it just doesn't feel right.
Best regards in dialing in your set up.
