Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

If you're suggesting that Brussels sprout isn't real food, then you're wrong, mister!

I came home and saw my next door neighbor (about my age) out for the first time since Christmas. Told me he was in the hospital for a week until Monday, having caught COVID sometime around the new year. He has had three vax shots, and is not a big crowd type guy. He said he was really sick, and was put on Remesivir. He had a kidney transplant not long ago, so I’ve got to believe his immunology system was not real strong.

HAD. I tried to find them a couple decades ago, but they were gone.

Route 30 was also the alternative way to get to Pittsburgh, if you didn't want to take the Turnpike. It's WAY hillier than the Turnpike, since it has to go OVER instead of THROUGH a couple of the ridges of the Alleghenies.
I also grew up very close to it and traveled on it a lot in those days.

I won’t say exactly what I made for dinner. It would make some of you jealous. Let’s just say it involved a baked bronzino stuffed with lemon and fresh thyme and roasted leeks and baby potatoes in a vinaigrette of white wine, olive oil, sherry vinegar and lemon juice.

Can't wait to get this over with. .

Could be some good news that the US may have or is about to peak for cases. If so, that's about 10 days earlier than projected from what I hear. Georgia looks like it has even begun a downward trend. Let's hope so. From GA Dept of public health website.
