Addiction 2021.4

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Sure, Jan.

While I have your attention, it looks like you are in the cross-over of the Frost Belt and Wheat Belt from Mojo's map.

Can we say you are in the Frosted Wheat belt?!?

I was serially disappointed in that cereal as a yute. I don't know why I kept trying it.

My daughter is addicted to frosted mini wheats, so you may be on to something.

My daughter eats 'em dry, but she also sets aside pieces that don't have enough sugar on 'em.

What did you have Trainer Diffculty set to? I've cogitated on doing Alpe du Zwift, but I might do it at 50% instead of the 100% I usually run. Won't make me any faster, but might spare these aging knees.

I forget if I mentioned it here, but I am celebrating "Movember" by not shaving (at least under my mask) and (of course) making a donation to a men's health charity.

However, mrs datlas is not especially pleased with this and complains when I try to snuggle, it feels like kissing a cactus. So I do believe the goatee will be gone on/about 12/1.

I did it in workout mode (most of) the way up, so no shifting incline. The 10 min after the workout ended and before the top were in the 50% default; I run a 25t max on the cassette, so I'm not likely to change it.

My trainer is 25t max. I generally do 50% because of that too

My training wheel is 25t max, but it's on the Bianchi which is 50/34, so I'm leaving it at 100%, but I may rethink that. The 'outdoor wheel for the Bianchi has a 12-28, which gives it the second lowest low gear, after the Canyon's 36x34.
