Don't neglect the glutei. They are notoriously weak on cyclists and having weak glutes displaces the burden of holding you up onto the back muscles. Learning this literally changed my life.

I rode the Schwinn 3 days this week. It's one size too small for me, really, so I run it with a 130mm stem and a long seatpost, which puts the bars about 2 cm lower than any of my other bikes. But I generally don't find that uncomfortable. However, something about the bike invites hammering, so I spent a fair amount of time in the drops Tuesday and Wednesday. Wednesday I realized that the Rolls saddle, much as I love that it's the original, is really not a great combination with such a low bar - too much pressure unless I was slightly off center to one side or the other. I think this caused me to bend more at the waist than roll my hips forward as I usually do, with the result that Wednesday night I was plagued by back spasms right where the back joins the hips.
So I swapped the saddle for a Fizik Aliante VSX with a trough, and rode last night. That was a lot better, but I think the basic problem is that 11.5 cm is just too much drop. In a moment of weakness, I bought a 23" Circuit frame, which should be my size. Problem is, no fork! I know where I can get one, but it would mean buying an entire frame I wouldn't use.

When I did (primarily preventative) PT last year, most of the focus was on the glutes. In my case, it was more about easing the load from the guads a little, which was creating some imbalance. But yeah - the butt's a big anchor for a lot of dynamics.

I have been intentionally run off the road by an overtaking car, hit from behind, and I get the punish pass all the time, but I've never been actually been run at quite like that. If a camera makes you feel more secure go for it. Drone sounds complicated! I just carried lots of life insurance and enough disability to replace my salary, when I was economically essential to my family. I still carry long term care and some life.

Check the chainring (spider) bolts too, they are a notorious BB creak mimic.

That, and the seatpost. I spent a hefty chunk replacing the pressfit BB on the Canyon with a Wheels Mfg. thread-together BB, and it turned out the creaking was because the seatpost was dry. Added more assembly paste and the creaking went away. Boy, was there egg on MY face!

Well, **** - I can whip up a half-way decent egg fried rice.
About a month ago, after watching some cooking videos, I decided to dig out my wok, strip it, re-season it, and give it another whirl. It didn't work so well with the old range, but the new induction jobber does a better job of getting it rippin' hot (though I'll be limited in terms of batch size). I've done some noodle stir-fries over the last week, but today was the first fried rice foray - turned out pretty well (though it could have used a little more soy sauce).
About a month ago, after watching some cooking videos, I decided to dig out my wok, strip it, re-season it, and give it another whirl. It didn't work so well with the old range, but the new induction jobber does a better job of getting it rippin' hot (though I'll be limited in terms of batch size). Fortunately for us, we were already pretty heavy in to enameled cast iron, carbon steel and stainless for the sauce pans and stockpot; the only pan that I replaced, as a result of incompatibility, was a little 8" nonstick fry pan that I primarily use for eggs.

Yeah, the cookware can be a significant expense if you don't already have compatible stuff. If you decided to sell your copper, I would think that it would finance all or at least most of the switch. [Side note: I've been looking at some induction compatible copper pans - beautiful, but $$$]

12’ is too narrow. I’d try to get to at least 18’ in that dimension. Our first was narrow like that, and we were always afraid that kids jumping in from the side would hit the other side. They came close a few times.
We paid $65k in 2008 for our current, but it’s about 21’ x 33’, and has a lot of decking.

I suppose it depends on manufacturer, aesthetics, etc, but copper isn't cheap these days.
