Silly Season: Riders In And Out Of Contract 2015
Silly season for the pro peleton is in full swing. Thought we might have a thread to collect tidbits and speculation.
Starting off: EQS still dickering w/ Boonen, Cavendish, Uran, Kwiatowski. Chatter has been that EQS would let Kwiatowski go as his demand was very high, while Cavendish offered to take a reduction (reportedly offered to cut his pay by EUR500K) to stay. Logically seems Cavendish has a very high value which should be rising w/ his win record this year and Kittel still uncertain for the Tour, but he costs a fortune when you include the dedicated train he needs. Apparently BMC doesn't have funding visibility to sign deals >1 year. UCI proposing smaller teams for 2017.
