Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Well I looked. I have been so successful at avoiding being photographed over the last 25 years that all ones I could find date from the time I was acceptable looking in cycling attire

I wish my hair would thin or get a bald spot or anything, so I could have an excuse to buzz it all off.

You don't need an excuse.

😄😄😄Awe come on now, any day you can get on a bike a ride is a good day. I got out of riding for a long, long time , because I hated the getting up at 4am to torture yourself and try and beat the other guy on the ride.
The look is subjective , im sure you dont look that bad on the bike ...🥸

Trust me. I feel the pain. I look terrible on the bike. Everything from position to posture to facial expressions when things get hard. It's hard to look at.

I rode up Mt Mitchell after maybe only riding for 6 months. I was quite a bit larger than I am now. I had bought our company's sponsor team kit. It could have gone down as one of those worst ever kit designs. Let's just say lots of white and mesh. Either way at the top a very nice retired couple saw me and asked if I wanted a photo beside the mountain top elevation sign. I got the photo, but I hid myself out of shame behind the elevation sign so all you can see is my shoulders up.

This is crazy. You would prefer tanned spots on your scalp which match your helmet vents!?

For long rides I used summer balaclavas anyway. And after a massive crash I no longer ride. And there's sunblock. But yes, I definitely would like an excuse to buzz it all off.
