sheldonbrown.com shortcuts

My Website has been growing since December 1995, and has become quite large. As a result, it is sometimes challenging to navigate it.

Generally the best place to start is https://sheldonbrown.com/glossary or https://sheldonbrown.com/articles

But I have also created a number of shortcut links. Put any of these after: https://sheldonbrown.com/ and you will have a good chance of finding what you’re looking for. Note that the filename must be lower case, and there are never any blank spaces. I often use hyphens (-) to separate words, generally don't use underscores (_).

With most browsers you don't need to type the "https://" part.

Nobody can remember all of these, but my intent is to make it easy to “guess” the url you’re looking for. Here are some of them:

If it weren't for Sheldon Brown, I would have always thought 'fixed' meant 'repaired'

Generally the best place to start is https://sheldonbrown.com/glossary or https://sheldonbrown.com/articles
and it googles beautifully too, like this:

"search term" site:sheldonbrown.com

example:

cassette cog spacing site:sheldonbrown.com

or

pedal reverse thread site:sheldonbrown.com

the flat out best info on the web. There is far more gratitude, thanks and appreciation out here than you could know.

Sheldon's going in tomorrow for surgery to take a biopsy from his biceps muscle, to be used for more testing.

Dictionaries should have Sheldon's picture next to the word "prolific". What a guy ;-)

Sheldon, I hope that if you see this you are in good health and having Happy Holidays!

Cheers!

Sheldon, I noticed this being implemented a couple months ago, and it's a very useful and thoughtful feature. I dare say you are an expert on designing web sites for technically-minded people, as well as bikes

I see that you are having surgery today. Best wishes for a quick recovery, and for a good resolution to your current health issues.

The surgery for the muscle tissue sample should have been today, according to Sheldon's journal.
Good luck with the results of the biopsy! Which will be in a bit later, I guess. Let's hope it's something curable, and that Sheldon will be able to pedal away as soon as possible.
