Addiction LXXVIII

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I got three Strava notifications while I was out on a ride today, all of them to tell me that I'd lost KOMs. Now, keep in mind that I'm a big boy, so the only KOMs I'm getting are short, high output kinds of affairs. Yeah, no - no one just beat me in a flying half mile by 11 seconds. Not anyone around here, at least. Likewise, no one beat my time on a flat, 1.2 mile stretch by 55 seconds. Damn people and their phones that they forget to pause.

Cazenovistan need not be on the canal to be in the canal trade zone. It's certainly not getting its goods from the St. Lawrence River.

Y’all wizards got any magic to combat this or do I need to HTFU and learn how to write with my right hand?
yep you need the right saddle and a professional bike fitting

I bought the single when it came out BITD. It was the first recorded music purchase I ever made. Was kind of pissed that the b side was the live version even though I liked the live version better.

Figured as much, though havnt really had any issues until this point.
Still don’t have full use of my left hand, but decided I would suck it up until tuesday. I start a four day trip, if it’s not better by the time I get home then off to a doctor.

which Garmin?

I actually like the heat when my route is relatively flat, but I couldn’t take it yesterday. One of the hills hit 18% for a decent stretch (4-500 feet) and I actually had to stop. Can’t remember the last time I had to stop on a climb.
My 1030 and my wife's 830 both have it. After today's 63 miler that ended at 95º, my Garmin says that I'm 100% acclimated.

Also found some bar tape that can be used. In worse shape are the brifter covers. I guess eBay is the place to go for that? (ancient 6600s)

I wanted to do a metric if I didn't overheat first, so I kept my heart rate low and ignored every thing else. I had a low average but I hate cramping so I resisted the urge to work harder. As it was, the metric was a piece of cake despite being 90s. Disclaimer: It was FLAT.
