Wondering About the Implications of a Bike Rack

I'm considering installing a rear rack on the winter warrior.

I'm just wondering about the potential ramifications. For instance, does that limit my ability to remove & replace the rear tire in the winter time?

Or should i just pony up for a second bike???

I'm not quite sure what your concern is specifically relating to a winter bike. I've got 29k miles on my winter bike and it's had three different racks the entire time. There's plenty of clearance and I've never run into any issues. The fenders are another, more painful matter...

Rack should be fine. The only thing I would advise you to do is to use some lube or antiseize on the bolts, because after a few winters of commuting with racks, the bolts aren't coming off of my bike. And service them regularly.
