And speaking of lawyers, I was diverting myself with snippets of the Depp/Heard trial on YouTube this afternoon. A three ring circus

Got called an Ass hole this morning. Wasn’t even going to bring it up but I’m still upset about it.
On the MUP this morning, and this guy is walking his dog. Pretty normal, except he is in the grass on one side of the mup and his dog is in the trees on the opposite side of the mup. The leash was stretched straight across like a close line.
I called approaching, No response, so I then scream passing left. He couldn’t even get his dog reeled in. I had to basically come to a complete stop, and he calls me an ass hole. All I said, “if a collision was going to happen I’m hitting you and not your dog”.
The world is more populated than ever in history and people still walk around like they are the only ones in it.
500 feet later I come up on a group of elderly taking up the whole path. Got the deer in the headlights while they can’t figure out what to do.
Keep in mind, this is a designated “Bike path”. Bike path was the intent, not bird watcher path, not let my dogs run free path.
anyways it’s only May, it will get worse.

On the last section I was passed by an e-bike, one of the huge ones that look like a motorcycle with 2 big rear view mirrors and the guy sat straight up and was wearing a striped vest like highway workers wear. Anyway I decided to chase him and get on his wheel, just to see what it was like. He must have been limited to 21mph because he couldn't escape. I stayed back in case he did something weird and he eventually turned off.
No one called me names but I gave them the chance.

More patience than I have.
It was a bit windy here this afternoon. Some gusts above 20 mph. Low 80Fs. Perfect temperature for mowing.

Short sleeve jersey day today. I was on the Litespeed, seeing what I could do on my 25 mile TT route. It was windy at the north end of the route, which meant the first 2 miles, and the last 4 were into an ever-increasing headwind. I passed a number of people on a 2 mile long ~1.8% gradient that ends about 1.5 miles from where I parked and a couple of the riders swung by as I was stripping off my helmet and gloves. Nice guys. They asked if I ride there every day - they've seen me. I think we have spoken before. We talked about the routes we ride and I think I converted them to mine - it's more pleasant.

I hate the paths too. Mom's with strollers, people who let thier dogs run thier lives. Clueless high school girls on roller blades. Morons with headphones. Fitness idiots that just stop running in the middle of the path to do push-ups. Not to mention getting hit by cars...Frankly, I'm safer out on the street.

Official forecast for Saturday in town is 96 and humid, but some news "experts" think it could hit 98.
Heading out for a weekend of bike camping tomorrow morning. I will likely ride to the beach and back on Saturday. It's supposed to be very nice "down the shore". Not sure if I will do ocean or bay.
No need to schlep and cool weather gear. Bags are going to be relatively light.

Only my second 2. The key for me today was my starting word, even though I only got 1 letter, and one of the solutions from a couple of days ago. Adding those things together, I was pretty sure what the first two letters were. Based on the letters I had eliminated, I thought the choice was clear. I was finally right.
Ready for the heat and humidity this weekend?

Poor sleep last night, so I'll watch some racing instead of riding. Also I need to do some mowing in case they keep the weed eater for a month. Which is likely.

Kept it strictly in zone 2 power today. It was painfully slow, but for once I didn’t cheat. I found it extremely funny that as slow as I was 15 mph ish, this was still faster than when I joined these forums. I would be max effort to be able to do 15 mph.
I was thinking more about the MUP problem in my area, and I have come up with a solution. If we introduced bears to our area, darwinism would take care of the rest. You don’t shove airpods in your ears in Alaska while you run. Ask me how I know.
