Stump the C&V Community?

Ok, I would post a photo but I’m new to this community and until I get my number up to 10, I can’t post a photo of an unusual freehwhell that was attached to a 1971 Gitane TDF that I overhauled over the winter for the upcoming CA Eroica ride in April.

The freewheel is attached to a 27 in Wolber wheel, 5 sprockets,14 x 28, and reads T.C. and Sons. Beautiful silver freewheel in very good shape and seems like it was built to last. Currently on the TDF and works well. Can’t find any info on the internet or eBay and my cycling buddies are as mystified as I am about the origins of this FW. Original frame sticker lists Jack’s Bicycle Center in Defiance, Ohio.

Seeking wisdom form the C&V masses and when my message count hits 10, I’ll post a photo.

Thx in advance for any info that you can contribute - I love a good mystery, especially when it can be solved!

Are you sure it’s not marked T.D.C.?

You're going to have to try a lot harder than that to stump this bunch.
It appears to me that nlerner had the answer within 10 minutes of the initial post!

Reviving this thread because ... heck, it really IS a thing! Never met one of these before. 5-speed and has a relatively well-engineered sound to it (much like a Suntour New Winner)
