Addiction 2021.2

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Speaking of excitement, the S-Works Turbo tires on the Allez need replacing. Not going to repeat.

Discuss.

Didn't you already have imaging done on your back? How was this not determined until today?

Maybe. When you say, "No one cares," what you really mean is that the witch doctors didn't bother to figure out the problem.

Plain Ol black label.

Usually when I have whiskey it's Bushmills and water or Jameson's and water. Most bars will have at least one of those.

For some reason I always want Coke in my Evan Williams.

Don't have a headlight anymore. Tomorrow I might start from home @7:00 and ride up the hill here which is closed to cars. A lot of the climb is in the shade that early.

Years ago my LBS put on a night ride on dirt roads and we would go over the hills to a pizza place where a guy had parked his motorhome and they had a trailer for the bikes. We would have pizza and pile into the motorhome and he would drive us back to our cars. Good times.

I remember running some Turbos back in the mid 90s. Super sticky, which was very nice. It was amazing how many tiny pieces of rock they picked up though. And they wire out really quickly.

Programming note:

Red Sox at the Braves is Amazon's free game of the day. Serious east coast action.

The only excitement that comes from tyres is negative excitement. Not sure what the second sentence is supposed to mean.

They ride great, but this set is starting to crack along the tread. They're not very old.
