one pump can be the difference between winning and losing, life or death, a new Lambo

For those who are timed performance competitors, what is the optimal method for wiping tickling sweat off nose ?
Or do you preempt this entirely with a headband ? I noticed wiping with hand or shirt stomach takes one hand off the bars, which may result in the loss of a critical pump.
As you know, one pump can be the difference between winning and losing, life or death, a new Lambo or child support payments.

They tolerate it. It looks great for their sports drink sponsors

I don't think they care about whether they use an optimal method. It's all about individual style.

I don't compete, so I just let my sweat drip where it may and however it wants to. Though I do encourage sweat from my scalp to avoid my eyes with a SweatVac that also seems to keep my head cooler when it is wet with sweat.

Was that supposed to say one pump, or one post?

You're trying my patience with some sort of failed comedic bit. And I'm going with solvent inhalation as the best explanation for the writing style.

Oh my, he's SERIOUS!

Just shake your head vigorously to get that drop of sweat off your nose.
Unless you're Pinocchio. Then, don't lie about your child support payments or you'll end up in the Breaking Away sequel.

Seriously, if I'm riding fast, air flow takes care of trickling sweat. Otherwise, top of my sleeve. Generally, sweat in my face isn't much of a problem until I get off my bike and remove my helmet. Then it canflow into my eyes At the stage of riding you're at, this seems like a weird question. Losing a second here and there would seem to be the least of your issues..

As long as you're moving forward, with any sufficient speed ( whether cycling, or on foot) airflow usually carries most of it away.
If you're locked in a head-to-head Sprint with another competitor, you pretty much ignore it. If you've reached the point where you are getting paid, or competing for class wins/ overall wins, you've learned how to tough it out.

For the case of most of us, it's more a case of a quick swipe with the back of the hand, than "wiping your face with your shirt". Most cyclng gloves have a swatch of absorbent material on the back of the thumb for just this purpose.
