How big are your feet? Many brands don't even make shoes I can wear. I know Sidi does but I like Shimano shoes, some of which are available in 49.

Here too. I know this because the last time i got a ticket in the car it was a bicycle cop who watched me make a u-turn right in front of him. I told him the last time I got a ticket was before he was born (true). He seemed a little weirded out by that.

There is a pump angle to this mishap. A bike pump angle. I needed some gas for the generator and wanted to get some from the lawn tractor. I could not find any hose easily, but I had an old POS JoeBlowPro pump head lying around with about 2 feet of hose. I cut off the head and used the hose to siphon out the gas from the tractor.

Hope you’re not in a flood zone or mud slide zone.

No. Neither of those. Only the intersections flood, making roads impassible. But the water doesn't drain and so it enters houses and such. We picked a very fortunate location, in many respects, simply by (seeming) chance. The prognosis is for one more bout of heavy rain, during the might, and then an end to it by noon tomorrow. And a sunny sunrise Sunday morning.

Bad news is I am on call this weekend, which makes riding a problem.
Good news is I got a partner to cover my call for 3 hours tomorrow morning so I can ride!
Bad news is she can only cover 6AM-9AM so I will have to get up extra early to ride. I will have to put some butter on my pillow tonight so I can get up oily in the morning.
