Might be a bustling business there for 650b conversions...

I work at a coop in southern California. At least for us, prices tend to be in calculated in multiples of $2 or $5. This makes it easier to do some quick math when someone comes up with a pile of parts. Still most low end derailleurs will be $5-10, wheels $10-40, pedals are usually some like $2-$5, not too different than the photo posted. Alot of items like handlebars are sold cheap as it's hard to store them in bulk and they don't often move fast.

I also have identified co-ops that are along the way of my typical road trips. I make sure to make a cash donation to all the good ones. My recent Frejus posting was a co-op find. I made a cash donation later, as it was too far below FMV. My favorite co-op finds are from their "dog pile", bikes they plan to scrap that often have fatal issues like stuck stem and seat post. Many co-ops do not have the time to deal with these issues. I leave the bikes they have already repaired for their local customers. Frejus was incomplete, not rideable (far from it). But a good starting point for a project.

They always seem to be closed when I come to town, but I scored a Super Record rear derailleur in the box for cheap. I tried telling him he could get more online than the asking price, but I still have it and waiting for the right project. I bought several shirts to help spend some money there, along with a few other bits.
FWIW, the RD looked like it was mounted, but barely used, if at all.
